Burrawang Village
& The Southern Highlands
Burrawang is located less than two hours’ drive from Sydney, in the heart of the beautiful Southern Highlands.
Situated between Bowral and Robertson, and a short drive to Moss Vale, it’s perfectly located to explore all the Southern Highlands has to offer – while still feeling like an idyllic world away.
Burrawang Village
Small enough to explore on foot. Big enough to surprise you.
Here are a few things to do in Burrawang.
Eat & drink at Burrawang Village Hotel
The beating heart of the village. Currently undergoing a much-anticipated refurbishment, the iconic Burrawang pub is due to re-open in Winter 2026. Grab a pint and soak up the sun from the pub’s garden, or tuck into classic pub fare by the fire inside.
Take a walk
The best way to experience Burrawang is on foot. Head down Dale Street towards the paddocks – see if you can spot any cows!. Then wind your way down to Hoddle Street and turn right. Find George Street on your left, follow it down to the lake crossing, and loop back via Harman Street. You'll end up right back at the pub, which feels like exactly the right place to finish.
Visit the park
For little ones, there's a playground on Hoddle Street. But the best-kept secret is that the Burrawang Public School grounds are open on weekends and school holidays – beautiful, spacious, and worth a visit. Please be respectful of the grounds and take all rubbish with you.
Enjoy blossom season
If you visit in early spring, you're in for something special. The whole village transforms – blossoms everywhere! Our cherry tree out front is one of the oldest and most beautiful in Burrawang. The Bowral Vietnam War Memorial Cherry Tree Walk is also stunning – a 5km route winding through Rivulet Park, Foley Park, Venables Park and Shepherd Park, starting from Bowral Swimming Centre.
Dirty Jane’s, Bowral

It’s the country – things aren’t always open when you expect them to be.
